Directory of Archival Organizations in the United States and Canada -  includes contact information for nearly 70 national, regional, state, provincial, and local professional archival associations. Society of American Archivists- oldest professional archival association with information, education, resources and services for members.  http://www.archivists.org

US National Archives (NARA) – a wealth of information, including a special section for  preservation and archives professionals as well as information on their 2-week workshop given alternate years (application and scholarship information for 2007).  http://www.archives.gov

UNESCO Archives Portal - The portal holds links to world wide resources on archives, useful to professional archivists and users of archives.  http://portal.unesco.org
